Welcome! My name is Nicholas Philip Katsavrias and I am a visual artist from Michigan. Art has been a large interest of mine throughout my life, with great inspiration from my family who also made their own art. From a young age I spent a lot of time drawing from life and imagination by myself and with family/friends.

In 2016, I graduated from College for Creative Studies in Detroit with a BFA in Fine Art. My education focused on painting and sculpture. While studying in college, I gained skills in printmaking, screenprinting, photography, metal casting, welding, woodworking, graphic design, ceramics and installation. My classes in anatomy and painting from life had a huge impact on my abilities as a artist.

Being exposed to my peers working in many mediums, I gravitated very much towards the world of woodworking. The possibilities of the medium and its incredible difficulties have proved to be a long road of exploration. Through my days spent as a carpenter building homes, woodworking that explores sculpture and furniture, and paintings that describe life and human emotions; they influence and are important to one another.
